About OPDC
Otway Pharmaceuticals Development and Consulting (OPDC) is a consulting company specialising in supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies in the fields of Medical Affairs, Clinical and Translational Development as well as Business Development.
OPDC is based in a region called the Otway Ranges, approximately 2 hours south-west of Melbourne and is led by Anja Giese, PhD and Dirk Hoenemann, MD as co-directors.
OPDC is well equipped to understand the language and perspectives of diverse stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem (scientists, physicians, industry, government, patient advocacy) and is able to offer a broad range of related services.
OPDC has two co-directors and no employees, all work is done by the senior business owners/ directors with extensive academic and industry experience. This allows competitive rates due to the lack of administrative overheads and avoids inefficiencies due to staff turnover.

Whilst a significant proportion of our academic and industry careers was devoted to haematology/ oncology, OPDC has been working on projects in immunology, infectious diseases including neglected tropical diseases, neurology/ psychiatry and primary care. We also have a track record in ultra-rare diseases.
Whilst OPDC has extensive experience in supporting regulatory filings and market access submissions, we are not in a position to fully develop the relevant documents. We strongly suggest to seek advice from regulatory and market access specialists.
